All Barcelona players are looking to win the Champions League after three consecutive years to stop in the quarterfinals.
Before an important match with Manchester United in the Champions League in the middle of next week, coach Ernesto Valverde made ten changes in the match against Huesca. Young faces with the first La Liga debut such as Jean-Clair Todibo, Ricard Puig and Moussa Wague were unable to help the Catalan team win the last group.
This result caused Barcelona to be narrowed by Atletico Madrid to nine points. However, midfielder Arturo Vidal believes his team still keep a safe distance from Atletico and they want to focus more on the continent.
Vidal wants to realize his dream of winning the Champions League this season.
“Our goal is to win La Liga and we have almost achieved it. But our biggest dream is still to win the Champions League.” Vidal spoke after the match.
Former Bayern Munich star also made comments about the debut of young players:
“I think the draw is acceptable for both teams. Young players are not always on the court and they have done well today.”
