Striker Roberto Firmino has returned to training despite earlier reports that he may miss the rest of the season due to injury.
The Brazilian star was absent in Liverpool’s 5-0 victory over Huddersfield last weekend due to an ankle injury. However he was able to train before the big battle with Barca in the Champions League semi-final took place on the morning of May 2.
Firmino’s return helped coach Juergen Klopp gain more confidence before the difficult march to the stadium of the Catalan football giant.
“Firmino is ready for the match against Barca,” Klopp said brightly. “Some days ago he still felt a little uncomfortable in his ankles but now he can practice normally”.
“The Camp Nou is just a stadium. It’s quite big but not a football cathedral. Many teams have gone through a bad time here but we are not afraid. It will be a great game. good with football fans, “he added.
